A couple new teasers of the latest concept from Mercedes-Maybach have been released ahead of the vehicle’s premiere at the Beijing Auto Show.

Officially dubbed the Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury, the vehicle will be a high-riding vehicle and not simply a GLS equipped with some new luxurious components.

As a matter of fact, an unnamed source close to Mercedes-Benz has informed us that the concept won’t even resemble the GLS and instead by similar in size and statue to the Bentley Continental Flying Spur. No images of the vehicle’s exterior have been published but we’re told it will be extremely bold and opinion-splitting.

These latest teasers of the vehicle support these assertions. The interior appears bespoke and doesn’t appear to share a single part with any existing production vehicles from the Mercedes-Benz family. Aluminum and rose gold accents are abundant and there’s also a healthy dose of mood lighting which will ensure the vehicle stands out and captures the attention of attendees at Auto China.

Based on previous information, it was understood that Mercedes-Maybach would put the vehicle into production as a new range-topping version of the GLS. However, if the vehicle is indeed more radical than we’d imagined then it’s harder to say whether or not it will hit the roads.
