The Ford F-150 Shelby Super Snake is a pickup truck that doesn’t make much logical sense but boy, are we glad that it exists. It is the craziest take on the F-150 available this side of the V8-powered Raptor R and combines wild looks with insane levels of performance. It is also quite rare and a 2021 example is currently up for auction.
The F-150 Super Snake in question has been listed for sale through Bring a Trailer and has been driven just 2,200 miles (3,540 km) since it was delivered. It is painted Iconic Silver Metallic and is number 88 of the 300 that Shelby built. The seller has confirmed that it has an accident-free Carfax report and a clean Virginia title, meaning it should be perfect for anyone wanting an F-150 that stands out from the crowd.
In creating the F-150 Super Snake, Shelby first focused its attention on the powertrain. Fitted under the hood is a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 adorned with a Whipple supercharger, a billet throttle body, high-flow fuel injectors, an aluminum heat exchanger, and a carbon fiber air intake tube. These modifications, working in concert with a Borla exhaust, result in an output of 775 hp. Power is routed through the rear or all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Numerous visual changes have also been made. For example, the F-150 Super Snake includes an overhauled front fascia with a new hood rocking ram-air intakes, a bold bumper, and a splitter. The car also sits on 22-inch forged wheels wrapped in 305/40 Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires. Lowered RideTech suspension with adjustable Fox front coilovers and new rear shocks have also been installed. For a car as powerful as this it is only fitting that six-piston Baer brake calipers are located up front alongside updated rear brake calipers.
When new, the 2021 F-150 Super Snake from Shelby commanded a starting price of $113,680. Bidding over at Bring a Trailer for this example was sitting at $55,000 with two days left in the auction.
