Lexus introduced the European-focused LBX earlier this year and now the company has announced the model will be priced from £29,995 in the United Kingdom.
Costing £5,140 more than the Toyota Yaris Cross and £4,775 less than the Lexus UX, the LBX has carved itself an interesting little niche at the bottom of the lineup.
The entry-level LBX Urban features a playful exterior with LED headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin is more straightforward and comes equipped with a dual-zone climate control system as well as a 9.8-inch infotainment system. The latter supports wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay.
The model also has a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a Lexus Safety System+ suite of driver assistance systems. Key highlights should include Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist/Lane Keep Assist, Road Sign Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with Intersection Turn Assist.

The £32,495 LBX Premium adds rear privacy glass and rain-sensing wipers. Inside, there’s a classier cabin with Tahara upholstery, heated front seats, and a wireless smartphone charger. Buyers will also find an ambient lighting system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and additional safety systems.
The £34,495 LBX Premium Plus builds on that by adding larger 18-inch alloy wheels and a power liftgate. Other highlights include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, a smart entry system, and an air purification system.
Upgrading to the £35,595 LBX Premium Plus Design rewards buyers with an eye-catching two-tone exterior that sports machined alloy wheels. The model also has perforated Tahara synthetic leather upholstery with red contrast stitching.
Moving further up the trim ladder, the £38,245 LBX Takumi has semi-aniline leather upholstery and a power driver’s seat with a memory function. The crossover also boasts a multi-color ambient lighting system and a 13-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system. Other highlights include Intelligent Park Assist, an Advanced Safety Pack, and LED headlights with an adaptive high-beams.
Customers can also opt for the £39,245 LBX Takumi Design, which features a two-tone exterior with machined 18-inch wheels. Buyers will also find an upscale interior with leather and Ultrasuede upholstery.
Last but not least, there’s the LBX Original Edition that costs £39,995. It features a Sonic Copper paint job that contrasts with matte black 18-inch wheels. The model also has special decals, “dedicated badging,” and unique bumper inserts.
Regardless of which trim is selected, all models are powered by a hybridized 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that produces a combined output of 134 hp (100 kW / 136 PS) and 136 lb-ft (185 Nm) of torque. Front-wheel drive comes standard, but all-wheel drive is available on the Takumi and Takumi Design trims for an additional £1,300.
The Lexus LBX is currently available to order and U.K. deliveries are slated to begin in March of 2024.
