Thought vehicles like the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet and 6×6 AMG were as extreme as road-going automobiles could get? Well, a German company plans to take things to an entirely new level by creating a Range Rover pickup with no less than three axles and six wheels.

The company behind the project, Berlin’s T.Fotiadis Design, is the brainchild of designer Theodoros Fotiadis, who hopes to create the ultimate superyacht for the land.

Fotiadis asserts that the vehicle, dubbed the T.Fotiadis Superyacht Land Tender-SLT, has been specifically developed for superyacht owners who want a unique way to travel from their mansions on the seas to docks, airports, hotels, and private residences.

When you’re so much of a baller that a Rolls-Royce doesn’t cut it

Speaking to The Drive, Fotiadis said “It is designed to be a superyacht tender. Until now, superyacht owners arrive at the dock aboard their 30-foot tender limos and then have to use Maybach or Rolls-Royce to get around town. The SLT is a vehicle dedicated specifically to the yachting world and style ambassadors.”

As these images reveal, the front half of the Superyacht Land Tender is largely the same as any other Range Rover. However, the roof has been substantially lengthened to make way for a much more spacious rear passenger compartment. No renderings of the interior have been released. It remains to be seen if the pickup bed will serve any purpose other than looking cool.

Customers will be able to opt between a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a hybrid system, a 4.4-liter diesel V8, or Jaguar Land Rover’s 5.0-liter supercharged V8.

Fotiadis plans to launch the vehicle at September’s Monaco Yacht Show.
