Unless you’re a professional and the vehicle you’re driving has been set up properly, it’s best not to push your luck when driving any type of vehicle, never mind a city car.

Additionally, if you’re on a set of “fresh semi-sticky tires” and you’ve already started to lose balance, there’s a good chance you won’t be able to save it when things go awry, which is exactly what happened here.

The video, posted to reddit by a MrMistah, shows a 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth rolling over at the Muffin Racing Snake River Region SCCA.

In the words of the driver, this is what happened: “Cause was too much stiffness, fresh semi-sticky tires, and exiting an element late over iffy pavement.”

We can’t help but feel bad for her, while also pointing to the 500’s short wheelbase and stiff chassis not helping in such a situation. Theoretically, you’re supposed to steer into the pavement, but that will only work if you haven’t already let the situation get away from you.
