Muscle car fans looking to get themselves an early Christmas present will be pleased to hear that Dodge offers select Challenger models with a $2,000 discount, including the SRT Hellcat. With the model soon to be axed, it should help get more shoppers into a Dodge dealership.
Dodge dealers were recently notified of a $2,000 Retail Bonus Cash offer for narrow-body versions of the Challenger SRT Hellcat as well as the entry-level Challenger SXT. While it’s a shame that the bonus does not extend to widebody versions of the Hellcat like the Widebody Jailbreak, Redeye Widebody Jailbreak, and Super Stock, it will no doubt be a welcome surprise to some shoppers.
Cars Direct notes that the discount will be available until the end of November and can be combined with the firm’s special financing rate. This deal offers the Challenger SRT Hellcat at an 8.23% financing rate for 60 months.
Unfortunately, the current Challenger will be killed off at the end of the 2023 model year, and with the impending demise of the current Chevrolet Camaro, that will leave V8-hungry muscle car buyers with no choice but to buy the Ford Mustang. Dodge is planning a new generation of Challenger, but like the next-generation Charger, the only combustion engine it’s tipped to receive will be the Stellantis 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline-six. Yes, this engine is quite powerful with up to 510 hp and 500 lb-ft (678 Nm), but it is not a direct successor to the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that has made the Hellcat so popular.

With the introduction of this $2,000 Retail Bonus Cash offer, now is as good a time as any to buy the current Challenger before it goes the way of the dodo. But, you’d better be quick.
