Nissan North America and the Tennessee Titans have inked a 20-year naming deal that will see the NFL team play in Nissan Stadium.

Slated for completion in 2027, the stadium will host home games for the Titans as well as football games for Tennessee State University. The massive building will also hold concerts and other large-scale events.

The agreement extends beyond naming rights as the stadium will have areas dedicated to brand displays and experiences. The automaker also said we can expect “innovative technology integration” as well as “involvement in Titans broadcast platforms.” Nissan will also support the Titans’ ONE Community, which aims to assist underrepresented and marginalized communities.

The stadium will be located on the east side of the current event center campus and have a translucent roof as well as porches that provide panoramic views of Nashville. Spectators can also look forward to improved sightlines and a “range of diverse seating experiences.”

Speaking of the latter, fans can join a waiting list to snag luxury suites as well as premier seats, which are “located between the 15-yard lines.” Besides good views and “ultra-comfortable seating,” premier seat buyers will get “access to a club with authentic Nashville style and culinary options.”

The stadium deal isn’t much of a surprise as Tennessee is Nissan’s home away from home. The automaker has their North American headquarters in Franklin as well as manufacturing facilities in Smyrna and Decherd. In total, the state is home to more than 11,000 Nissan employees.

Titans President and CEO Burke Nihill said, “This partnership is a natural extension of our already longstanding friendship with Nissan.” He added, “We pride ourselves on collaborating with organizations who love this city and state as much as we do, and for the past 40 years, Nissan has invested more than $10.5 billion statewide, serving as a great example of an outstanding corporate steward and community advocate.”

Nissan is far from the only automaker with a stadium deal as Atlanta is home to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, while Ford Field can be found in Detroit.
