The Utopia might be the latest model from Pagani’s atelier but that hasn’t stopped them from continuing work on the Zonda and the Huayra if it is for special clients. The Pagani Grandi Complicazioni division which specializes in one-offs and few-offs teased a new hypercar which appears to be a roofless version of the Huayra Imola.

A single photo showing the rear end of a camouflaged Huayra on the track was shared on Pagani’s social media channels with the following description: “A new Hypercar from the Grandi Complicazioni division is ready to hit the road. And the roar. Can you recognize what is hiding under the wraps? Stay tuned: you will find it out sooner than you think.”

A closer look reveals the similarities with the Imola. The large wing and lower bumper intakes look identical to the standard model although the diffuser is slightly tweaked and the characteristic roof scoop is floating above the more sculpted rear deck of the Roadster.

The Pagani Huayra Imola debuted in 2020 as the most track-capable street-legal version of the Huayra with a limited production of 5 units in addition to the original prototype. The hypercar featured a redesigned bodykit, reduced weight, and an AMG-sourced V12 producing 827 hp (616 kW / 838 PS). Those specs could be mirrored by a possible Imola Roadster, tailor-made for a lucky few of Pagani’s favorite customers.

The previous project from the Pagani Grandi Complicazioni division was the $7.3-million Codalunga which was also based on the Huayra although it gets a completely redesigned bodywork and a longer tail. The Codalunga comes with a limited production of 5 units, but its V12 engine is even more powerful, producing 840 hp (626 kW / 851 PS).

Judging from Pagani’s words, the new hypercar will be unveiled soon, so stay tuned for more information.
