After years of waiting, Tesla, with the help of its CEO Elon Musk, delivered the first batch of Cybertrucks to eager customers on November 30, 2023. Since they were in Texas for the event and likely have some time to ponder it, they’re undoubtedly wondering about the accessories available for their shiny new trucks. So, let’s take a look.

So far, Tesla is showcasing 23 accessories with prices ranging from $25 to $6,500. These accessories cater to a wide range of needs, from assisting overlanders who want to sleep under the stars to amusing pranksters who want to poke a little gentle fun at Musk.

Perhaps the most entertaining item is the ‘Cybertruck OMFG Decal.’ It fits over the rear driver-side window, creating the illusion that the glass has shattered. Tesla describes this as a “limited-edition window decal celebrating the moment that made us go ‘OMFG‘.” Unfortunately, the $55 decal is currently out of stock.

The most expensive item on the list is the Cybertruck Color Paint Film, which is available in either Satin Black or Satin White. The self-healing film covers every inch of stainless steel on the body, protects against scratches, and retails for $6,500. A clear film is also available for $5,000 (and that includes installation). Let’s hope the truck’s flat surfaces make the film easier to apply than the wraps on Tesla’s other vehicles.

Another item that costs thousands is the Cybertruck Basecamp tent, which will set you back $2,975. The inflatable shelter can be put up in minutes using a pump and fits into the bed of the truck. Made of nylon, with a “tactical kaleidoscope” pattern, it allows ready access to the bed outlets so you can even keep your devices charged. A weather-resistant outer shell with an extendable awning helps keep you dry, while vents can be opened to keep you from sweating.

Once you’re awake, the whole tent can be collapsed into a pack that fits into the bed rails. That means it floats above the bed and below the tonneau cover, to help keep it out of the way of, say, the spare tire and tool kit, which costs $1,250. Snow chains cost another $345, wheel covers are $75, and an air-compressor and tire repair kit is $550.

On the more functional side of things, Tesla will also sell you carpet mats for $155 or all-weather interior liners for $295, as well as under seat storage bins ($250), a console tray ($40), and a glass roof sunshade ($115).

In the bed, owners can get a cargo bin ($225), molle panels for the bed sides ($250), and a cargo divider ($350). There are also L-track hooks ($25), an L-track cleat ($25), D-rings ($40), gear locker dividers ($45), and an L-track bottle opener that costs $25.

Finally, there are the Cybertruck bumper protectors, which cost $80, the $400 tailgate ramps, which help you to drive bikes and other vehicles into your bed, and the roof rack crossbars, an $800 item that will only be available next year.

All in all, it’s a pretty solid collection of accessories, punctuated by a few unusual, and some fun items that will likely serve Cybertruck owners well. You can check them all out on Tesla’s website.
