This year has seen countless concepts come out and a great many have impressed the automotive world, as our readers pointed out in last weekend’s QOTD. However, on the flip side, a few concepts have been incredibly disappointing or just outright bad. So, we want to know, which one do you consider the worst and/or the most boring among them? That’s our question of the day.

It’s important to designate exactly what we mean here too. For instance, as terrible concept cars go, the Aitekx Robotruck probably takes the cake. It’s clear from photos that it was somewhat rushed to the LA Auto Show and that it could use a lot more polishing. At the same time, it might be wrong to call it boring. Sure, it’s a Cybertruck look-alike that makes the Tesla look a hundred years more advanced and ready, but at least it’s interesting.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, a concept like the Lamborghini Lanzador is undoubtedly going to be quick and well-built, but it drops the ball in the excitement department for an Italian supercar. However, it’s not alone in the realm of boredom. Take the Chinese-market Nissan Pathfinder, for instance; it isn’t exactly setting anybody’s hair on fire.

QOTD: What Was The Best Concept Car Of 2023?

What’s The Worst Concept Car Of 2023?

Again, combining both features, boring and bad, is important here. I’d argue that the worst and most boring concept is one that you probably haven’t even thought about for quite some time. Back in October, Toyota showed off the FT-3e which isn’t the ugliest thing here but it’s probably one of the most boring of the bunch.

Do we really need one more electric crossover? Well, in the case of Toyota, the answer is probably yeah. Despite being far behind other competitors on the EV front, the FT-3e didn’t show up with any sort of mind-blowing tech or promises of future sales dominance.

Those are just a few options for the most boring and terrible concept of 2023. Which one gets your vote? Is there another that deserves more attention? Tell us in the comments below!
