Nissan has previewed several vehicles ahead of January’s Tokyo Auto Salon, including a rugged off-road concept based around the X-Trail.
Each year, the Tokyo Auto Salon attracts a plethora of OEMs and aftermarket firms and next month’s event is shaping up to be no different. One of the highlights will be the Nissan e-4ORCE 4E Formula E race car that was first unveiled in December 2022 and will compete at the Tokyo round of the FE Championship in March.
Then there will be the X-Trail Crawler Concept. Just a single teaser of it has been released and while it doesn’t show all that much, it does reveal that the ride height of the SUV has been jacked up significantly. Additionally, it also looks to have been equipped with an LED light bar at the front end as well as flared front and rear wheel arches. Nissan has also equipped it with a unique roof rack that also houses LED driving lights.
Nissan is also bringing along a special version of the Caravan known as the Disaster Support Mobile-Hub aimed to serve in disaster-stricken areas. A customized version of the Roox has also been previewed after being curated in partnership with Japanese fashion house Beams. It will be showcased alongside a one-off Nissan March that has been designed specifically for a pastry chef (oddly specific, we know…).

Autech will also bring along a tuned version of the X-Trail and Serena to the Tokyo Auto Salon. Both have undergone a series of exterior and interior modifications but manage to retain an OEM look and feel.
A trio of Nismo models will also be displayed at the event. The highlight will be the 2024 GT-R Nismo and it will be joined by the Fairlady Z Nismo and the Skyline Nismo.
