Thanks to inflation and sky high interest rates, new car ownership is often accompanied by ridiculous monthly payments. As a result, it’d be nice if a new car would magically appear in your driveway.
With that in mind, we’re asking our readers what cars they’re asking Santa for this year. It’s an open-ended question, so feel free to choose from both new and classic vehicles.
While winter isn’t exactly sports car season, who wouldn’t want to find a 2024 Mustang GT or Dark Horse in their driveway? I certainly wouldn’t complain as it’s hard to argue with a 5.0-liter V8 pumping out up to 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 418 lb-ft (566 Nm) of torque.

That being said, if Santa is pinching pennies, the Toyota GR 86 is an excellent alternative that is often overlooked by consumers. However, with the death of the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger, the coupe might finally have a chance to shine.
For something more practical, I’d have to get an SUV and there are no shortage of options. It’s a bit of a toss-up between the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler, but I wouldn’t turn down a Land Rover Defender if one fit in Santa’s sleigh.
The 2024 Lexus GX also looks interesting and it features a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 with 349 hp (260 kW / 354 PS) and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque. On top of that, there’s a new Overtrail trim that adds an adaptive variable suspension, a locking rear differential, and 18-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires.
On the classic side, Santa could drop off a 1980’s Jeep Grand Wagoneer or CJ-7. The first-gen Mustang also has a special place in my heart.
With all that being said, what do you want Santa to bring you?
