Owners of the Toyota Prius already have access to visual upgrades by GR Parts and Modelista, but those looking for alternative options could consider the latest bodykit by Kuhl Racing. The Japanese tuner dresses the Prius with sharp-looking aero bits and combines them with aftermarket wheels and lowered coilovers to complete the aggressive stance.

Kuhl says that the kit is for those who don’t mind a little bit of rubbing, although the visual upgrades can also be had without the lowering. The splitter, side skirts, and rear bumper extension are made of ABS, emphasizing the sharp surfacing of the new Prius, as with the optional rear spoiler.

The model rides on a new set of “DDR Series” VERZ Wheels with a five-spoke design and a diameter of 19 inches which are available in different finishes. Finally, the height-adjustable coilovers by BLITZ bring the Prius closer to the ground, according to the owner’s preferences.

The pictured example is based on the entry-level Toyota Prius 2.0-liter G 2WD trim fitted with the self-charging hybrid powertrain. Khul is currently offering it for sale as a complete vehicle, listed for a discounted ¥3,990,000 ($28,146), despite coming with ¥1,052,920 ($7,433) worth of installed parts.

The bodykit will soon be joined by a more extreme version of the Toyota Prius that will be unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024. This one will feature wide fender extensions and more prominent aero components while being slammed to the ground. Khul previewed the build with a rendering and published a few shots of the development work, ahead of its debut on the show on January 12.

Note that this won’t be the first stanced Prius, as fellow Japanese tuner T-Demand presented their take in May 2023. Furthermore, another modified Prius has been announced for Tokyo by Tom’s Racing.
