All good things come to an end and we’re continuing to see that at Dodge. Following the deaths of the Charger and Challenger, the HEMI-powered Durango is now preparing to say goodbye.
However, it’s not going quietly into the night as Dodge has introduced the 2024 Durango SRT 392 AlcHEMI. It’s the first in a series of Last Call special editions, which will celebrate the final year of HEMI availability.
Bound to draw attention, the AlcHEMI has an eye-catching exterior with honeycomb-textured stripes that feature yellow accents. The two-tone theme is echoed by 20-inch Satin Black SRT wheels, which are backed up by a Brembo braking system with yellow calipers.

Elsewhere, the model has been equipped with Midnight Metallic badging and black exhaust tips. They’re joined by Satin Black “392” fender decals that have contrasting yellow accents.
The special touches continue inside as buyers will find forged carbon fiber trim as well as a leather and suede steering wheel with an illuminated SRT logo. Other highlights include yellow and silver contrast stitching as well as embroidered seatbacks with “392” logos.
Production will be limited to 1,000 total units and the model will be offered in Diamond Black, Destroyer Gray, Vapor Gray and White Knuckle. Only 250 units of each color will be available.
As with previous Last Call special editions, the ordering process isn’t exactly straightforward. Instead, customers can search dealer allocations in late February using the Horsepower Locator at DodgeGarage.com. Allocations will be based on dealer sales in January and hopefully most of the special editions will go to reputable ones. While that remains to be seen, production will begin in April with deliveries slated to occur the following month.
The AlcHEMI package adds $3,595 onto the price of the Durango SRT 392. As a result, customers can expect to shell out at least $80,185 – including destination.
As a refresher, the Durango SRT 392 has a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 pumping out 475 hp (354 kW / 482 PS) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque. It enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.4 seconds, run the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds, and tow up to 8,700 lbs (3,946 kg).
More Special Editions On The Horizon
While AlcHEMI production will be limited to 1,000 units, Dodge confirmed additional special editions are on the horizon and will be announced throughout the year. This will include at least one version based on the Durango SRT Hellcat.
Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said, “Just as we did with the Dodge Charger and Challenger, it’s time to celebrate the V8 HEMI engine that has powered Dodge domination of the performance SUV segment.” He added these special editions will “honor the most powerful SUV ever.”
