The owner of this particular 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse was only able to enjoy it for a little more than 3,500 miles (~5,600 km) before it was wrecked in a crash.
The wrecked pony car has landed in the hands of IAAI in Atlanta, Georgia and while it’s a sorry sight to look at, the listing confirms it still runs and drives and as such, should be repairable. However, the listing has not been updated to specify what title the car has and if it’s deemed to have a salvage title, then it’ll only be eligible for a rebuilt title if it is repaired and inspected. The other option would be for someone to buy the car and turn it into a track-day toy. If we had the money, that’s what we would do.

Most of the damage done to the car is centered on the driver’s side where we can see that the front wheel has been pushed out of position, indicating some serious suspension damage. In addition, the lower part of the front bumper has been ripped off and one of the side skirts is missing. The driver’s side front quarter panel has also been destroyed and needs to be replaced. The rear appears to have some scuffs and the bumper has also been knocked out of position but it’s repairable.
It doesn’t appear as though any of the car’s airbags were deployed in the crash.
As mentioned, IAAI says the car runs and drives and it doesn’t look as though the engine itself is damaged. As a reminder, the engine of the Mustang Dark Horse is a modified version of the brand’s 5.0-liter Coyote V8 pumping out 500 hp.
