CES is winding down, but that hasn’t stopped Kubota from introducing the new Agri concept.

Designed to preview the next-generation of farming equipment that will “seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence, automation, and electrification,” the concept is a fully electric multi-purpose vehicle that is designed to support residential and small-acreage growers.

The concept has six independent electric motors, which enable the vehicle to operate quietly. This enables the tractor to be used at night, even in residential settings. Kubota didn’t go into many specifics, but said the Agri has a fast charging capability that enables the battery pack to go from a 10% to 80% charge in less than six minutes.

The concept is apparently autonomous and Kubota suggested it has obstacle detection and avoidance technology. The company also implied it can recognize the difference between a crop and a rock as well as humans and animals. On top of that, the concept has a three-point hitch, which enables it to be used with “existing implements for common operations including mowing and tilling.”

While the Agri is just a concept, Kubota wants to embrace technology to increase productivity and efficiency. As part of this effort, they’re eyeing automatic data collection, real-time monitoring, and the use of artificial intelligence to identify potential issues.

According to Kubota Tractor Corporation President Todd Stucke, they’re “transforming from a trusted equipment provider into a solutions provider.” He went on to say they’re “evolving to be even more intuitive, putting data and AI directly in the hands of residential equipment owners to enhance their lives and make things easier, more productive, and more efficient.”
