A two-door coupe version of the Toyota Prius used to be a work of fiction, but students of the Gunma Automobile College (GAUS) made it a reality just in time for the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon. Despite the Prius-inspired face, the custom build is actually based on a Honda Integra, with a widebody kit and Lexus-sourced taillights completing the weird Japanese mashup.
The donor car for the unique Prius Coupe was a fourth-generation Honda Integra. The front received a pair of genuine Toyota Prius headlights, alongside a custom bumper, wide fenders, and a sharper nose. The extensive modifications continue on the profile with deeper side skirts, wide rear fenders, and a new set of 18-inch wheels by Work.

At the back, the highlight is the blacked-out taillights from a Lexus IS 350, which proved to be a fitting choice for Toyota-fying the Integra. The students also fabricated a custom trunk with an integrated spoiler, and a sporty bumper featuring a glossy black diffuser-style trim and dual tailpipes.
Inside, there is a pair of Recaro bucket seats, a Momo steering wheel, an iPad taking the role of an infotainment touchscreen, and a more powerful audio system supplied by Diecock.
Honda‘s original K20A 2.0-liter four-cylinder powertrain retains its position under the hood. With the help of ECU tuning, the mill produces 217 hp (162 kW / 220 PS), closely matching the output of the Honda Integra Type R. Last but not least, a Plum AIRLIFT air suspension brings the vehicle closer to the ground.
The eye-catching Prius Coupe build is called “Will Get 650Vision” and its goal was to showcase the expertise of the Gunma Automobile College (GAUS) at the Tokyo Auto Salon. As such, it will most definitely remain a one-off, although we wouldn’t be surprised if Japanese tuners came up with another coupe version of the Prius, maybe using the Toyota GR86 as a base.
