Canadians really, really, really love hockey, and Hyundai hopes that adoration will lead to more sales of the 2024 Santa Fe. That’s because the brand has unveiled a Canada-only NHL special edition of the crossover at the Montreal Auto Show today.
Based on the Ultimate Calligraphy trim, the 2024 Santa Fe NHL Edition is finished in “Creamy White” matte paint, and gets black 20-inch multispoke wheels, both of which are exclusive to the model.
In addition, the crossover comes with personalized Luxwood door sills and WeatherTech floor and cargo liners to protect it from the salt and snow of Canada’s winters. To cap it all off, the logo of the buyer’s favorite team is printed in the mats.
“At Hyundai Canada, we are very proud to be the official automotive partner of the NHL,” said Christine Smith, director of marketing at Hyundai Auto Canada. “Today, we are proud to bring Hyundai’s commitment to hockey and our partnership with the NHL one step closer to our customers, by allowing them to personalize the all-new Santa Fe with their favorite team’s logos.”
Like other Ultimate Calligraphy models, the Santa Fe NHL Edition will come with dual wireless charging for smartphones, a USB-C port, and an optional UV-C sterilization compartment to clean items like phones, wallets, glasses and more. The model is also equipped with a Bose 12-speaker sound system, and gets a Pecan brown interior.

Power comes from a standard hybrid powertrain that is based on a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, and delivers 232 hp (173 kW/235 PS) and 271 lb-ft (367 Nm) of torque. Interestingly, that’s another exclusive feature of this model, since all other Ultimate Calligraphy trim Santa Fes are powered by the 2.5-liter turbo, which delivers 277 hp (206 kW/281 PS) and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm) of torque.
Since it was unveiled in Quebec’s most populous city, Hyundai got help from Montreal Canadiens’ legend, Yvan Cournoyer to present the 2024 Santa Fe NHL Edition to the public for the first time. The 80-year-old won 10 Stanley Cups in his 16 seasons playing on the team.
Canadian sales of the all-new 2024 Santa Fe hybrid are set to begin in the spring. Hyundai plans to offer just 500 examples of the NHL Edition to customers.
