When it was unveiled last December, the McLaren Senna created quite a controversy by blending in what was described as ugly functional design with the name of the legendary Ayrton Senna.
Almost half a year has passed since then, and some have already grown fond of the ultimate McLaren Super Series model. Like Autocar, who got to jump into the cockpit a couple of months prior to the international media drive.
We’ve already seen what Matt Prior had to say about the Senna last week, but the latest video is different. It provides no feedback whatsoever into the British beast, and it doesn’t even show most of its exterior. What it does, though, is allow us to experience it at the Silverstone circuit in a 360-degree video.

Now, the short film isn’t exactly exciting, as it appears that the person driving it didn’t want to take any risks. But it’s still a good exercise that should keep enthusiasts satisfied until the Senna’s official launch.
According to McLaren, the Senna can lap any track faster than the P1 GTR. That’s because while the hybrid hypercar is more powerful than the Senna, the latter is a much more focused track machine, with all its design elements optimized in the name of achieving the best aero possible.
