The BMW XM has become quite the playground for tuners lately. Renegade Design, Mansory, Larte Design, and Venuum have all jumped on the bandwagon, offering fancy carbon fiber kits for the controversially-styled SUV. It seems that the craze is far from as German tuner Manhart isready to steal the spotlight with their latest creation: the “Thor” tuning package.

The German company released preview renderings of their visual upgrades, which are named after the “son of Odin.” The standout feature is the carbon hood with GTR vents, designed to enhance engine cooling. Additionally, there’s a sharp looking splitter, a grille frame, and matching garnish for the bumper intakes.

The profile showcases aerodynamic side skirts measuring over 2 meters (78.7 inches) long, along with new covers for the mirror caps. Owners have the option of adding Manhart wheels, including the pictured Forged Line or Concave One designs, which are available in various finishes.

At the back, a large roof spoiler is complemented by a lip spoiler on the tailgate. Additionally, there’s a trim piece connecting the elongated taillights, garnish for the decorative vents, and a rear diffuser with aerodynamic extensions. Manhart has announced that extra add-ons for the rear bumper and carbon trim for the quad exhaust pipes will be introduced in the coming weeks.

The BMW XM bodykit is available in three different finishes: regular carbon, twill weave, or forged carbon. According to the tuner, all parts can be easily installed at the original BMW mounting points using “special adhesive and fasteners.” This ensures that the visual upgrades are fully reversible, in case a future owner changes their mind about the aftermarket treatment. Additionally, a gold decal set will be available, as is often the case with modified vehicles from the German tuner.

Although Manhart is known for tuning BMW engines, they have not announced any performance upgrades at this time. Thankfully, the performance flagship of the BMW M range doesn’t lack power. The plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a twin-turbo V8 and a single electric motor, producing a combined 644 hp (480 kW / 653 PS) or 738 hp (748 PS / 550 kW) right from the factory.

However, there is a less potent version available in Europe, the XM 50e, with a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder and an electric motor producing 469 hp (350 kW / 476 PS).

The tuner has announced the start of pre-orders for the Thor Carbon Package. Although pricing hasn’t been publicly disclosed, the first customers who contact Manhart and place an order will benefit from a 12 percent discount.
