When Chevrolet launched the C8 Corvette Stingray back in 2019, it put the sports car world on notice and showed that V8-powered, mid-engined cars could be affordable and look just as exotic as any traditional supercar. Chevy followed it up with the Corvette Z06, a legitimate supercar that eschews the forced induction adopted by most of its rivals in favor of a screaming 5.5-liter naturally-aspirated V8.
One could argue that the C8 Corvette Z06 is one of the finest performance cars ever launched in the U.S. and this example is especially eye-catching. Were you to show these images to someone who doesn’t know much about cars, there’s a chance they’d think this is the latest model launched by Lamborghini or Ferrari.
Several exposed carbon fiber accents and painted gloss black elements contrast the orange paint. These include black racing stripes running over the hood, the engine cover, and the rear fascia, while key carbon fiber parts include the front splitter, side skirts, air intake shrouds, and the sharp rear lip spoiler. The Z06 badges have also been blacked out, which we think is a nice touch.

The owner of the car has also had it equipped with a set of aftermarket wheels courtesy of Strasse. These rims are known as the R10 Track Series and measure 20×10 at the front and 21×13 at the rear. They sport satin black centers, gloss black lips and barrels and complement the rest of the car’s design beautifully.
As impressive as the C8 Z06 is, it won’t remain at the top of the Corvette family tree for long. Chevrolet is hard at work developing a new-age ZR1. It will adopt an even more aggressive aerodynamic design and be powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 expected to produce around 850 hp and 825 lb-ft (1,118 Nm) of torque. It will then be followed up by a model badged ‘Zora’ that’s expected to pair this same engine with an electric motor to deliver over 1,000 hp.
