Chinese automaker GAC Aion has just presented its latest and perhaps most striking model that looks like it has been lifted out of one of the Midnight Club games from the early 2000s or an early Fast & Furious film. The new Aion S Black Dragon Max lives up to its incredible name with several eye-catching aerodynamic components and a hard-to-miss decal.
Based on the regular Aion S Max sedan introduced late last year, the Black Dragon Max adds a more aggressive front bumper with a large splitter and aerodynamic canards on either side. The carmaker has also blacked out the badges and installed new door mirror caps and a colored glass film over the windshield.

As dramatic as the front of the Black Dragon Max is, the profile looks even more Fast & Furious. A massive depiction of a dragon is right there, so no one will pass your new car as the “plain” S Max model. It’s unclear whether the dragon is painted or a decal but either way, it makes this sedan stand out, for better or worse. The exterior revisions also include custom side skirts, a set of black wheels with red lug nuts, and bright red TEI Racing brake calipers with six pistons up front.
A fixed rear wing and a sharp and aggressive diffuser with a thin central brake light complete the wild look of the Black Dragon Max.
GAC Aion has not upgraded the EV’s powertrain as you may expect from its wild exterior looks. As such, it continues to be underpinned by a 67.9 kWh NMC battery pack that drives a single electric motor at the front axle with 245 hp, allowing the car to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.8 seconds. The car has a range of 610 km (379 miles) and will launch in the second half of the year.
