Dramatic dashcam footage has captured the moment a black BMW 4-Series spectacularly crashed in Connecticut earlier this week while apparently street racing a white BMW 5-Series.
Two videos have been shared on Reddit, including one on the Connecticut page , depicting both the crash and the events leading up to it. In the first clip, the white 5-Series speeds past the cammer, weaving between traffic at high speed.
The black 4-Series follows suit, cutting in front of other motorists and narrowly avoiding a crash. It remains unclear how long the duo were racing, but they continued to speed down the motorway until disaster struck

In the video, the black BMW comes into view and appears to be moving over to the right lane to overtake the silver VW Jetta in the left lane. However, the driver of the Jetta changes into the right lane, prompting the driver of the 4-Series to turn back to the left. This maneuver unsettles the rear of the car and the driver appears to overcorrect, steering to the left and losing control.

The 4-Series then spears off the road, drops down a grass embankment and slams into a mound of dirt or rock, firing it into the air and flipping it. The driver of the white 5-Series witnessed the entire thing but failed to pull over and sped off into the distance.
A Reddit user said that the driver of a pickup truck, who witnessed the crash, pulled over and dragged the two occupants from the car. Remarkably, they escaped without injury, serving as a testament to the safety features of modern vehicles.
It is unclear if police are aware of the incident and if they have seen the damning dashcam videos posted to social media. If they have, we’re crossing our fingers they will press charges for the dangerous driving.
