• The Ineos Grenadier gets upgraded with 20-inch wheels shod in 35-inch tires, wider fender trims, and more.
  • The interior has been upgraded with new leather upholstery.
  • Chelsea Truck Company promises “dramatically-styled conversion packages” for the Grenadier.

It’s no secret that the Ineos Grenadier is heavily inspired by the original Land Rover Defender, so it’s only natural for UK-based tuner Chelsea Truck Company – mostly known for modifying Land Rovers – to start offering a series of upgrades for it. The tuner even promises “dramatically-styled conversion packages” for the Grenadier in the coming months.

The company has already worked on at least three examples of the Grenadier, adding new wheels, subtle exterior upgrades, and an overhauled interior. Their coolest build yet is the pictured Ineos Grenadier Station Wagon finished in the stock Sela Green shade.

The SUV rides on a new set of 20-inch Mondial RS Forged alloy wheels shod in 35-inch tires, true to the off-road nature of the Grenadier. The only other aftermarket parts on the exterior are the gloss black spare wheel cover mounted on the tailgate, and the slightly modified wheel arches allowing the fitment of larger tires. However, the other Grenadier builds featured a Dakar-inspired front grille and wider fender extensions.

Until a more comprehensive styling kit becomes available, the highlight of the Chelsea Truck Company’s Grenadiers will be the re-trimmed interior. The factory-fit Recaro seats are re-upholstered in tan leather with a three-dimensional perforated pattern making the cabin look and feel more luxurious than ever.

Afzal Kahn, CEO of Kahn Group said: “This ideal marriage of off-road performance and classic looks explains why we have decided to do something truly special with the Grenadier. We have an extensive range of new products to unveil, from stand-alone exterior parts to comprehensive, dramatically-styled conversion packages, and are excited at the prospect of launching these in the coming months, so please expect further updates very soon.”

The green Ineos Grenadier, powered by a stock BMW-sourced 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel has already been sold for £73,999 ($92,300). This is surprisingly affordable when you consider that the base price of a five-seater Ineos Grenadier Station Wagon is £76,000 ($94,800) in the UK.

Browsing on the Chelsea Truck Company’s inventory we found an even cheaper Grenadier, priced at £51,999 ($64,800). This one though, is a black two-seater LCV version with stock upholstery and a different set of 20-inch wheels.
