Several new images of the Cadillac Optiq have surfaced out of China, just ahead of the EV’s public debut at the Beijing Auto Show this month. These new photos provide us with our first opportunity to see the Optiq’s cabin.
Much like the Cadillac Lyriq, the cabin of the Optiq houses a large, curved display supporting both the infotainment display and the digital gauge cluster. It also features a slim air vent sitting between the screen and a row of physical buttons for important climate control settings. The steering wheel and stalks also appear identical to those found in the Lyriq.

The similarities continue on the center console where there are two cupholders and a rotary dial for the screen. Cadillac has altered the design of the central armrest, making it a little smaller. There is also an open storage cubby below the climate control switches as opposed to the hidden storage area of the Lyriq.
Underpinning the Optiq is the same BEV3 platform used for the Chevrolet Equinox EV and Buick Electra. Data out of China reveals the SUV is 189.8 inches (4,821 mm) long and sports a 116.3-inch (2,954 mm) wheelbase, meaning it is roughly similar in size to the XT5 but with 3.8 inches (97 mm) of added length between the axles.
Cadillac will sell the new model in both single- and dual-motor configurations. The single-motor trims are expected to produce 201 hp and 241 hp, while the dual-motor, all-wheel drive version may deliver a more impressive 283 hp.
While the carmaker is unveiling the Optiq in China, it will be sold in the United States and be available from later this year. Local specifications and pricing details have not been announced but it should sit between the $34,995 starting price of the Equinox EV and the $57,195 MSRP of the larger Lyriq.
