Volkswagen of America is giving us a glimpse into the near future as they’ve revealed details about their 2025 lineup. While the automaker wasn’t ready to delve into many specifics, they confirmed an assortment of new and updated models.
In particular, VW confirmed the Jetta and Jetta GLI will be refreshed for 2025. The company is keeping details under wraps, but a debut is right around the corner as both models will be unveiled in the second quarter.

Shortly thereafter, in the third quarter, Volkswagen will unveil the facelifted Taos. Spy photographers caught the updated model last month and it sports an all-new front end with a revised grille as well as a massive lower intake.
The US-spec Golf GTI and Golf R will be introduced early next year, while Volkswagen also confirmed plans for an all-new Tiguan. Details about the latter will be shared later this year, but it will be significantly larger than its predecessor and may offer a third-row of seats.

2025 will also see the introduction of the all-new ID. Buzz. The van will offer three trims as well as two powertrains. The entry-level model has a 91 kWh battery pack, which feeds a rear-mounted motor developing 282 hp (210 kW / 286 PS) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. Customers can also get a dual-motor all-wheel drive variant with 335 hp (250 kW / 340 PS).
Sticking with EVs, the 2025 ID.4 benefits from a handful of minor updates. S variants with a 62 kWh battery pack will now come equipped with ventilated front seats and a 12.9-inch display with backlit sliders. S and S Plus variants gain a newly available Black Package, which adds an assortment of black accents including mirror caps, door handles, badges, and 20-inch wheels. Last but not least, the ID.4 S Plus gains an auto-dimming driver’s side door mirror.
Since the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport received a facelift last year, the changes for 2025 are relatively minor. However, buyers will find a speedy new 15W wireless smartphone charger as well as a standard Light Assist function.
SEL Premium R-Line trims get a “new high-end design” as well as perforated headrests, four-way lumbar support, and massaging front seats. Customers will also find an updated and expanded color palette that includes Avocado Green, Lake Blue, and Pure Grey.
