Tesla has reportedly stopped deliveries of the all-electric Cybertruck due to a fault with the pickup’s windshield wiper motor.
A report from the popular Cybertruck Owners Club forum claims that deliveries of all Tesla Cybertruck models were halted for approximately a week on Saturday. While we haven’t yet been able to verify if this is true, numerous owners have taken to the forum, confirming that Tesla has delayed the deliveries of their vehicles due to the wiper issue.

As Tesla hasn’t issued a recall related to the Cybertruck’s windshield motor, it’s difficult to know what exactly is wrong with it. However, several owners have complained about the truck’s massive single wiper blade not working. Many others have also said Tesla informed them it would take several weeks for the motors to be replaced.
The owner of one Cybertruck on the forum says he had to call Tesla roadside assistance after getting stuck in a rainstorm with a non-functioning wiper.
“I picked up on Tuesday in Florida and left and made it 20 miles and it started pouring raining. Had to sit in a Dunkin Donuts for 3.5 hours and call Tesla roadside assistance because I couldn’t see,” forum member Cnod writes. “They took it to the SC and said it would be a few weeks before the wiper motor could be replaced. Once the rain passed, I took the CT and added some Rainx for now. But it was super dangerous.”
It appears several other owners took delivery of their Cybertrucks with wipers that never worked and had to be repaired. One member says that “apparently the old motors will all fail,” and that the replacement part has a new part number.
Some forum members suggest that applying Rainx to the outside of the Cybertruck’s windshield means they rarely need to use the wipers. While that’s true in many cars, Rainx isn’t as effective at low speeds nor during torrential downpours.
