- A high-spec example of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade was converted to right-hand-drive.
- This is the work of Global Conversions, which is based in the United Arab Emirates.
- Any trim of the Cadillac Escalade and other US-specific models can be converted upon request.
The Cadillac Escalade isn’t exactly suited for navigating London’s narrow streets, but UK buyers can now get their hands on a right-hand-drive model. Global Conversions has converted a 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport Platinum to right-hand drive (RHD) configuration and offers the same modification for any trim of this full-size SUV upon request.
The UAE-based company is renowned for converting US-spec models to RHD, such as the GMC Hummer EV, to make them suitable for 77 global markets. They have applied the same treatment to the Escalade ESV shown here, featuring the high-spec Platinum Sport trim.

According to Global Conversions, changing the position of the Escalade’s steering wheel presented numerous technical challenges. he engineering team had to overhaul the steering system, reconfigure the dashboard layout, and recalibrate several electronic components to accommodate the new setup.
The end result looks seamless, although we don’t have detailed photos of the interior. It’s interesting how they managed to achieve a symmetrical design for components like the outer shell of the digital cockpit, the large screens, and the trim pieces on the center console. A closer look at the latter reveals that the storage cubby is carried over, meaning it’s better suited for the front passenger.
Being a Sport Platinum trim means that the standard equipment is quite generous. Highlights include 22-inch alloy wheels, adaptive air ride suspension, a 16.9-inch OLED display, dual 12.6-inch displays for the rear passengers, an AKG 36-speaker audio system, and the Super Cruise ADAS.
The SUV is powered by the stock 6.2-liter V8 engine, producing 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 460 lb-ft of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic, with the help of an electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD). For those who want more power, Global Conversions can upgrade the flagship Cadillac Escalade V with 682 hp (508 kW / 691 PS) from the supercharged V8. We can assume that the same applies for the facelifted Escalade lineup that is set to be unveiled later this year.
The company offers various RHD-converted models to markets like Australia, South Africa, India, New Zealand, and various African countries where people drive on the left side of the road.
Pricing for the unique 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport Platinum has not been disclosed, as it largely depends on the import costs and taxes for each region. However, Top Gear reports that the cost of the pictured SUV in the UK is around £157,000 ($198,985), representing a significant increase from the $118,690 starting price of an equivalent brand-new LHD model in the US.
