Ferrari isn’t exactly known for its tolerance of customers messing with its cars, and modifications to its classics really grind their gears. We suspect at least one manager or executive will throw a fit after they watch a brief clip circulating on social media that shows a Testarossa with six wheels and three axles. We can almost hear the cease-and-desist letter being drafted.
The following Testarossa was spotted on the back of a flatbed in Dallas, Texas, by Hvber.Media and is believed to be owned by Richard Rawlings, best known as the man behind Gas Monkey Garage. Last year, Rawlings purchased five Testarossas that were used during the filming of Infinite starring Mark Wahlberg. One of these cars has also been chopped up, painted white, and converted into a speedster, and it appears Rawlings is back at it with his latest creation.

While the video is only short, it shows that extensive modifications were made to the iconic Ferrari, so much so that it barely resembles the car it once was. The rear of the Testarossa has been stripped back and we can see the original taillights have been removed and replaced with new ones. There are also a pair of new tailpipes exiting out of the rear grille and a dramatic bumper/diffuser package with a shiny chrome finish.
Obviously, the presence of two extra wheels is the biggest change. To stretch the car, the shop likely had to cut the chassis just behind the rear bulkhead before proceeding to add an extra axle, lengthening the frame, and welding it back together.
We can’t see if the Ferrari’s original flat-12 engine has been retained, but if it has, we can’t imagine it will be left untouched, considering all the work already done to the car.
