Volkswagen dealers have a lot to be excited about as there’s an assortment of new and updated models on the horizon. Key among them are the facelifted Jetta and Taos as well as the all-new ID.Buzz.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg as dealers were given a glimpse into the future at a meeting in Orlando earlier this month—Volkswagen’s first nationwide gathering in years. According to Auto News, the group was informed that the redesigned Tiguan will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, with its market launch set for the following June.

The model is expected to be virtually identical to the Tayron, which will be unveiled in European-spec form next month at the Paris Auto Show. It’s expected to be 5.2 inches (133 mm) longer than the European Tiguan and is likely to feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.
Charlie Hall, chairman of the Volkswagen National Dealer Advisory Council, shared with Autonews that dealers were highly optimistic about America’s new Tiguan. He remarked, “If they can get the pricing right, we’re really going to have something to sell because it’s everything you would hope it would be.”
Dealers were also shown the redesigned Atlas, but that isn’t much of a surprise after China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology effectively did it for them last week when they unveiled the new Teramont Pro. It’s a pretty notable departure as the crossover adopts streamlined bodywork, flush-mounted door handles, and an aerodynamically optimized front end. Designers also tweaked the greenhouse and embraced pixel-like lighting units.
EV models still in focus
Besides those two crossovers, Volkswagen reportedly showed “bits and pieces” of the next-generation ID.4. The ID.7 was also on display, though no updates were provided about the electric mid-size sedan.
That’s disappointing as the car was originally scheduled to be launched in America this year. However, back in May, Volkswagen announced they were delaying sales as “market dynamics continue to change.”
