In a break from his usual hobbies of data mining and dismantling human privacy, Mark Zuckerberg has apparently found time to dabble in car customization. The Meta CEO, with a dash of Silicon Valley hubris, teamed up with West Coast Customs to create a bespoke Porsche Cayenne GT minivan for his wife, Priscilla Chan.
One would think the standard Porsche Cayenne offers enough interior space to satisfy most buyers. However, Zuckerberg believes Priscilla could use a bit more room for various activities while benefiting from the practicality of a sliding door.

Zuckerberg shared the news on Facebook and Instagram (because obviously), showcasing photos and videos of the customized SUV. He also managed to fit in a manual 911 GT3 Touring to match his wife’s Cayenne, establishing a Porsche-themed garage at their Palo Alto residence.
West Coast Customs, no stranger to catering to the whims of the absurdly wealthy, took the liberty of stretching the body and wheelbase of the Cayenne Coupe, effectively transforming it into a limousine. The conversion included removing the traditional door handles, adding sliding doors on both sides, and slapping on a larger rear spoiler. The SUV now appears to ride lower to the ground, perched on black alloy wheels with eye-catching yellow brake calipers.

The Meta boss chose the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT trim as the base of his minivan project. The stock model is fitted with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine producing 631 hp (471 kW / 640 PS) in pre-facelifted form, and 650 hp (484 kW / 659 PS) after the recent updates. It is not clear if the Cayenne GT Minivan received any performance modifications.

In his post, Zuckerberg described this bespoke Porsche Cayenne GT Minivan as “something I’m pretty sure should exist.” While Porsche once toyed with the idea of a minivan with the 2018 Vision Renndienst concept, they’ve yet to bring anything like it to production. Earlier this year, Peter Varga, Director of Exterior Design at Porsche, admitted to being a fan of the concept, though he made it clear that this was merely his personal opinion.
Luxurious minivans are pretty popular in Asian markets, luring more automakers into the segment. Still, one can’t help but wonder how hardcore Porsche fans would react if the Stuttgart brand expanded its lineup in this direction.
