- Jeep has revamped the Grand Cherokee lineup by slashing trims and dropping prices on higher-end variants.
- The two-row model starts at $37,035 while the three-row variant will set you back $39,035.
- The 5.7-liter V8 is dead, leaving customers with a 3.6-liter V6 or a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
The mea culpa continues at Jeep as the brand is ‘enhancing the affordability’ of the 2025 Grand Cherokee. However, this is a bit of a misnomer as the entry-level ‘Laredo A’ has apparently been dropped and this means pricing climbs from $36,495 to $37,035.
That isn’t the only change as the two-row lineup has been reduced to just four trims including the Laredo, Limited, Overland, and Summit. As a result, the Laredo X, Altitude, Altitude X, and Summit Reserve are toast.

On the bright side, pricing for the Limited falls from $45,905 to $42,905 while the Overland drops from $60,995 to $56,995. Likewise, the luxurious Summit will set you back $58,560 instead of $62,560.
Pricing for the three-row Grand Cherokee L starts at $39,035 which is a slight drop from last year’s base price of $40,035. The Limited, Overland, and Summit get more meaningful cuts of $3,000 and $4,000.

That brings us to the plug-in hybrid Grand Cherokee 4xe, which continues to start at $60,490. The Anniversary Edition and Summit Reserve fade away, while pricing remains unchanged for the Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit.
Jeep declined to mention additional changes, but the V8 is dead and this means most versions have a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. It produces 293 hp (218 kW / 297 PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque.

Drivers looking for something more eco-friendly can opt for the second best-selling plug-in hybrid in America. The Grand Cherokee 4xe has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and an electric motor that is powered by a 17.3 kWh battery pack. This setup gives the model a combined output of 375 hp (280 kW / 380 PS) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque as well as an electric-only range of 25 miles (40 km).
