• ABT Sportsline announced several upgrades for the facelifted Audi Q8 and SQ8.
  • The SQ8 can produce up to 641 hp, outperforming the RS Q8 Performance.
  • The SUV also gains an aero package, 23-inch wheels, and carbon interior accents.

The Audi Q8 and SQ8 received a mid-lifecycle update on September 2023, with the updated RS Q8 following on June 2024. True to its commitment to the four-ring brand, ABT Sportsline has introduced a tuning kit for the Q8 and SQ8, including performance, suspension, aero, and interior upgrades.

The highlight of ABT’s involvement with the refreshed SUV is their take on the SQ8, which is more powerful even than the RS Q8 Performance. More specifically, thanks to the ABT Power S module, the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 TFSI produces an impressive 641 hp (478 kW / 650 PS) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque.

These figures represent an increase of 141 hp (105 kW / 143 PS) and 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) over the stock Audi SQ8. Furthermore, the ABT-tuned SQ8 outpowers the Audi RS Q8 Performance by 9 hp (7 kW / 10 PS), while matching its torque.

Besides the SQ8, a similar power upgrade is also available for the regular Q8, improving the performance of the electrified 3.0-liter V6. ABT has yet to announce tuning options for the RS Q8 but has taken the pre-facelifted model to an Urus-beating 790 hp (589 kW / 800 PS), giving us an idea of what to expect.

ABT also unveiled an aero kit for the facelifted Q8 and SQ8, making the SUVs a little more aggressive. Add-ons include a front splitter, side gills on the front fenders, a rear spoiler, and a rear skirt with quadruple tailpipes.

The bodykit looks better with a set of aftermarket wheels, measuring 22 inches or 23 inches in diameter. Furthermore, the SUV has been brought closer to the ground by up to 25 mm (1 inch), courtesy of a lowering module for the adaptive air suspension.

Finally, the interior can be upgraded with glossy carbon fiber inserts for the dashboard, seat frames, and gear selector, alongside illuminated door sills, and an ABT-branded start-stop button.

How Much For A Boosted SQ8?

As for the cost of the upgrades, the power boost is priced at €11,588.24 ($12,510), and the suspension tweaks at €2,512.61 ($2,712). The wheels range from €5,210.08 ($5,624) to €9,546.22 ($10,306) depending on the design and the size. The bodykit costs €6,403.36 ($6,913), and the optional carbon fiber fender extensions add another €1,016.81 ($1,098). Finally, interior upgrades add another €1,675 ($1,808).

If you want your Audi SQ8 to get the full list of available ABT goodies, you’ll end up with a bill of €35,573 ($38,402) before tax, including the cost of installation.
