We’ve long known about the ruler’s fascination with the McLaren F1, and at one stage, he owned 10 of the 106 F1s ever manufactured. Images of 8 of these F1s, including 3 F1 LMs in the collection, have now emerged. McLaren only ever built 5 F1 LMs and two of those owned by the Sultan have matching black paint schemes with silver, blue, and yellow accents.
The collection also includes a blue F1, a silver one, a yellow example, a black F1 GT, and a McLaren F1 GTR modeled after the famous Ueno Clinic car, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995.
In the early 2000s, the collection also included at least four Bugatti EB110 SS models. One is painted black with red, blue, and yellow racing stripes, and rocks an interior trimmed in blue, red, green, yellow, and black leather. The Sultan also loves his Bentleys, and photos have emerged of dozens of them, including countless Continental Rs and two of the six Bentley Dominator SUVs that were delivered to Brunei’s leader.
A complete Google Drive showing all the images is available to download, and browsing through it is bound to excite any enthusiast. Images show dozens of the Sultan’s Ferraris, including at least seven F40s he owned, numerous F50s, and three Ferrari F90s. For those who don’t know, the F90 was built specifically for the Sultan through a partnership with Pininfarina. It shares its underpinnings with the famous Testarossa.
An insane array of Porsches also stands out. Beyond the run-of-the-mill 911s, there are numerous 959s and at least five Dauer Porsche 962s. The 962 was originally built for Coupe C racing before 13 road-going examples were manufactured.
