- The Toyota Yaris GR Sport received a few upgrades for 2025 in Europe.
- Exterior changes include the new Storm Grey shade and 18-inch wheels.
- Inside, the GR Sport emblems are now embossed on the headrests.
Toyota has introduced a few updates for the Yaris GR Sport, including a new color, a new wheel design, and tweaked GR Sport emblems inside the cabin.
The fourth-generation Yaris was introduced in 2019, with the GR Sport trim following in 2021. The entire lineup received a mild facelift in 2023, which explains why updates are quite limited for 2025. Note that the GR Sport is unrelated to the GR Yaris homologation special which rides on a bespoke platform, and has a significantly more powerful engine paired with a unique all-wheel-drive system.

The highlight for 2025 is the new Storm Grey color option, which is exclusive to the new Yaris GR Sport, and comes in monotone and bi-tone options, meaning a black roof. There is also a new set of multi-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels, featuring a matt finish.
Inside, changes are limited to the more discreet GR Sport emblems which are now embossed on the headrests, joining the red stitching and Gun Metal Gray accents of the sporty trim. The small hatchback had already received a larger 10.5-inch infotainment display and an improved ADAS suite as part of the earlier facelift.
As for the non-GR Sport lineup of the Yaris, the only change for 2025 is the addition of a new Forest Green shade in the color palette.
Predictably, there are no changes under the skin. The electrified powertrain lineup of the Yaris in Europe includes the Hybrid 115 and Hybrid 130 engines, with the latter being the only option for the GR Sport. The self-charging hybrid setup comprises a 1.5-liter engine and dual electric motors, producing a combined 114 hp (85 kW / 116 PS) or 129 hp (96 kW / 131 PS) respectively.
Note that the GR Sport trim features a sharper chassis setup than the regular Yaris. The Gazoo Racing treatment includes tweaked dampers and rear springs, extra underfloor bracing, and a re-tuned steering.
Production of the 2025 Toyota Yaris and Yaris GR Sport is scheduled to commence in February. Pricing will be announced closer to the market launch, although we don’t expect big changes compared to the outgoing model.
