Kia America is celebrating a record-setting November as the company sold 70,107 vehicles last month. That’s a 20% increase from last year and their best November ever.
SUVs were unsurprisingly the biggest driver and they accounted for 75% of sales. The Sportage led the way with 14,051 units and was followed by the Telluride at 11,568. That’s a November record for the three-row crossover and an impressive accomplishment considering the model is nearly six years old at this point.

Putting SUVs aside, electrified models accounted for 16% of sales in November. The EV9 found 2,155 takers, while 1,887 people got an EV6.
Elsewhere in the lineup, the K4 continues to show strength thanks in part to its $21,990 price tag. K5 sales were also up 24.7% from last year to 6,378 units.
In fact, virtually every single model bested their November 2023 numbers. The only losers were the Niro and Seltos, which were down 31.3% and 10.3% respectively. It’s also worth noting the company didn’t sell any Rios last month and it appears there are only a handful of units remaining in inventory.
Thanks to the strong showing last month, year-to-date sales hit 723,185 units. That puts them slightly ahead of last year and on track to beat their all-time annual sales record of 782,451 units.
Kia America’s vice president of sales operations, Eric Watson, said “Kia is clearly a brand on the move with world-class ICE and electrified vehicles that far exceed consumer expectations.” He added the company has “no plans of slowing down” as they recently introduced the facelifted Sportage and EV6 at the Los Angeles Auto Show as well as the all-new EV9 GT.
