- While the SUV’s wheels are questionable, the paint scheme and interior are pretty nice.
- Powering the Purosangue is an epic 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12.
- Used Purosangues have started to hit the market and are fetching hefty premiums.
Ah, the Purosangue, a half-million-dollar SUV designed to marry Ferrari’s racing heritage with the everyday convenience of carting your children to private school. You’d think that such a lofty price tag would come with a guarantee of impeccable taste.
Well, we all know that’s not true and this Ferrari Purosangue is proof of that, sporting a set of chrome wheels that would be better suited to a Cadillac Escalade or an old Hummer H2 than an exotic Italian super-SUV. But, hey, if the owner is happy, more power to them.
Road Show International recently modified this particular Purosangue in the US, and it is one of just a handful of bold projects the company has recently completed. Several other changes have been made by Road Show. For example, the headlights and taillights have been tinted alongside the windows and windshield, the suspension has been dropped by 10 mm (0.3 inches), and the bodywork now has a ceramic coating to ensure it looks good for years to come.
While the exterior may divide opinions, the Ferrari’s cabin is particularly nice. Tan-colored leather adorns the seats, headliner, center consoles, and door panels and has been contrasted with red accents and metal parts. There’s also plenty of carbon fiber and black leather across the dashboard.
Few would deny that the Ferrari Purosangue is one of the coolest SUVs on sale. It’s powered by a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 with 715 hp producing a symphony that none of its rivals can match. However, it starts at around $400,000 in the US, and used examples are listed online for a huge premium – but as the saying goes, if you have to ask…
