Bentley has collaborated with one of the most exclusive and well-regarded tattoo companies in the US and at last week’s Art Basel event in Miami, unveiled a very special Bentley Bentayga with a special wrap that shimmers under UV light.
The tattoo firm, Bang Bang Tattoo, based in New York City, pioneered a special Magic Ink that’s only activated and visible when a UV light is shone over it, effectively turning the tattoo on and off. Similarly, the wrap of the special Bentayga EWB designed by Bang Bang and Bentley Mulliner features some intricate elements that are only visible under UV.

It’s unclear if this particular Bentayga is going to a customer, but Bang Bang and Bentley will collaborate to add custom touches to bespoke vehicles for clients. They’ve already started work on their next collaboration, which will be ready in 2025.
“Initially, the car’s façade presents harsh, tessellated shapes on the bonnet, symbolizing the tension one might feel at the start of a journey,” Bentley Mulliner design consultant Rich Morris described. “As one moves along the car, these shapes transition into a fluid, structured ripple pattern along the sides, evocative of water droplets and creating Bentley’s signature Azure diamond motif. This seamless transition embodies the transformation of feelings from stress to serene satisfaction upon reaching one’s destination after driving in a Bentley.”
The founder of Bang Bang, Keith McCurdy, added that “Bentley offers a canvas as luxurious and transformative as my tattoo art.”
This wasn’t the only striking super SUV to debut at Art Basel. Lamborghini’s Ad Personam division was also tasked with building a one-off to celebrate the city of Miami. Its creation had a wild paint scheme combining hues of grey and black with Blu Glauco accents. Lamborghini also made some custom touches to its interior.
