- Shaquille O’Neal’s one-off Lucid Air Coupe was reportedly built by West Coast Customs.
- The coupe features longer doors to help Shaq get in and out comfortably.
- While the exact cost of the custom Lucid Air is unknown, it’s sure to be steep.
When you’re 7’ 1” tall, headroom is in short supply. Shaquille O’Neal knows this all too well, but he’s been coming up with creative solutions for years. His latest is a one-off Lucid Air Coupe, which was reportedly made by West Coast Customs. The Instagram post doesn’t go into many specifics, but says the car was made to match his red Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which can be seen in the background.

That isn’t much to go on, but the coupe looks great as it retains the essence of the original Air. As you can see, West Coast Customs apparently removed the doors, kicked the B-pillar back, and then created all-new bodywork. The team also crafted longer doors to improve entry and egress for the legendary NBA player.
The special touches don’t end there as we can see the front end says “Diesel” instead of Lucid. Elsewhere, there are aftermarket wheels with center caps featuring the Superman logo.
There’s no word on how much the transformation cost, but Shaq probably could have saved a lot of dough if he would have waited for the Gravity SUV. The model recently went into production and costs $94,900 in Grand Touring trim. While it’s not cheap, the model has more than 800 hp (597 kW / 811 PS) and a range in excess of 440 miles (708 km).
Of course, nothing matches the exclusivity of a one-off coupe. There’s no word on which version his is based on, but the entry-level Pure has 430 hp (321 kW / 436 PS) and a range of up to 420 miles (676 km). The range-topping Air Sapphire boosts those numbers to 1,234 hp (920 kW / 1,251 PS) and 427 miles (687 km).
