- Specifications of the 2026 Hyundai Palisade have surfaced online ahead of its launch in Korea.
- The SUV is expected to be available with four-cylinder, V6, and hybrid powertrain options.
- The redesigned exterior and interior look more upmarket compared to the outgoing model.
Hyundai’s new generation of the Palisade just dropped, and while it hasn’t quite revealed all its secrets yet, a little digging (and some good ol’ Instagram leaks) has given us a peek at what’s cooking under its chunkier, Range Rover-inspired skin. Spoiler alert: the lineup will reportedly include gasoline and hybrid options, but no diesel.
The new Palisade marks a significant departure from its predecessor in terms of design, adopting boxier and more upmarket looks. The fresh exterior is joined by a more premium cabin, inspired by high-end furniture. Additionally, the Korean-spec model will be available in a nine-seater three-row configuration, with a small extra seat at the front allowing owners to drive it on bus lanes.
Longer, Roomier, More Range Rover-ish
According to leaks from Instagram’s @owners__club, the 2026 Palisade measures 5,050 mm (198.8 inches) long. That’s a full 55 mm (2.2 inches) more than the outgoing version. And no, an extra two inches may not sound like much, but ask anyone who’s ever tried to parallel park in a city—it counts. It’s also just 10 mm (0.4 inches) shy of the electric Hyundai Ioniq 9, proving size inflation is alive and well across the lineup.

The wheelbase has been stretched to a reported 2,970 mm (116.9 inches), gaining a solid 70 mm (2.8 inches). A shorter front overhang and an extended rear end finish off the look, giving the Palisade some very Range Rover-esque proportions. Whether that’s homage or imitation, we’ll let you decide.
Goodbye Diesel, Hello Hybrid
The new Hyundai Palisade is expected to stick with an upgraded version of its current unibody platform, but the powertrain lineup is getting a much-needed refresh. Keep in mind, the leakers are referring to the Korean and Asian market versions here, so specs and availability might differ elsewhere. According to them, the old 3.8-liter V6 is out, replaced by a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 cranking out 276 hp (206 kW / 280 PS). Joining the party is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder that delivers a slightly punchier 286 hp (213 kW / 290 PS).
As for diesel fans in Korea? Well, it’s time to pour one out as Hyundai’s officially pulling the plug on it. Not that North America will care, since the diesel option was never offered here in the first place. You can’t miss what you never had.
But don’t worry as there’s a silver lining for efficiency nerds. A hybrid version is expected to bring a beefier 330 hp (246 kW / 334 PS) to the table while offering a claimed driving range of up to 1,020 km (634 miles) thanks to the combined efforts of both the ICE and electric motor. That’s pretty impressive for a bus-sized SUV and should help you feel a little better about all that space you’re taking up on the road.
What About in America?
As for North America, Hyundai’s rival to the Mazda CX-90, Honda Pilot, and Toyota Grand Highlander, among others, has yet to be officially detailed. However, it’s likely to feature a turbocharged four-cylinder, possibly with hybrid and/or plug-in hybrid variants. Whether the V6 will make its way over here remains to be seen.
Trim and Color Options
In Korea, the Hyundai Palisade will be offered in Exclusive, Prestige, and Calligraphy trims. According to the Korean Car Blog, the color palette will include the new Ecotronic Gray Pearl, Cast Iron Brown Pearl, Galaxy Maroon Pearl, and Lazzi Blue Pearl, alongside the more traditional Abyss Black Pearl and Shimmering Silver Metallic. These exterior options will pair with various interior upholstery choices, including gray, navy, black, and tan.
Price Bump in Korea
Leaked pricing catalogs reveal that the new Hyundai Palisade will range between ₩42.5 million ($29,600) and ₩57.5 million ($40,000) in Korea, making it pricier than the outgoing model, which was listed between ₩38.96–54.91 million ($27,100–38,200) depending on trim and powertrain.
The Hyundai Palisade is expected to hit US dealerships as a 2026MY later next year, following its market launch in Korea by early 2025. As seen in the videos below, prototypes of the new generation have already been spotted cruising public roads, completely free of camouflage.
