• Lexus introduced Final Edition trims for the RC and RC F with special interior and exterior touches.
  • The RC F Final Edition will be produced in 200 units for Japan, and is also available in the US.
  • Production of the Lexus RC and RC F is scheduled to end in November, 11 years after their debut.

Lexus is preparing to bid farewell to the RC and RC F coupes, rolling out limited “Final Edition” trims to mark the occasion. The RC F send-off will be capped at 200 units, available to Japanese and US buyers, with “mechanical and aesthetic” improvements. Production of both models winds down by November 2025, with Lexus keeping its cards closed about a possible successor.

The 2025 Lexus RC F Final Edition stands out with 19-inch BBS forged alloy wheels in a sleek Metal Star Gloss Black finish, paired with red calipers for the Brembo brakes. Beyond the black mirrors, the RC F flaunts carbon fiber bodywork, including the splitter, side skirts, diffuser, active rear wing, and roof, similar to last year’s Carbon Package.

Visual upgrades on the Japanese-only RC Final Edition are limited to the 19-inch Enkei alloy wheels finished in “sputtering paint,” the red brake calipers, and the black mirror caps accented with smoked inserts. Color options add some variety, with the RC offering nine shades and the RC F offering seven (four for the US market), including the newly introduced Sonic Iridium.

Inside, both models feature a “Black & Flare Red” trim and Final Edition badges, while Lexus added a special welcome sequence for the instrument cluster. The leather and Ultrasuede upholstery with red contrasting stitching created a sporty atmosphere in combination with the carbon inserts.

In terms of powertrains, the 2025 Lexus RC remains available with 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and 3.5-liter V6 options in the US, while Japanese buyers also have access to a hybrid 2.5-liter version.

The RC F Final Edition retains the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with 466 hp (347 kW / 472 PS). However, Lexus claims that the engine “has been further refined to deliver a smooth revving feel and exhilarating engine sound”. Lexus engineers have also improved the limited-slip differential for even greater response during acceleration.

Availability And Pricing

Since its launch in 2014, the Lexus RC has sold around 79,000 units across 62 countries, a respectable figure, though hardly a blockbuster hit. The performance-focused RC F, a more niche rival to the BMW M4, has sold 12,000 units in 57 countries. Despite these relatively modest numbers, Lexus says the Final Editions are a gesture of gratitude to loyal customers who stuck with the lineup.

The Final Editions of the RC and RC F are already available to order in Japan. Pricing starts from ¥6,660,000 ($42,700) for the RC300 Final Edition, and climbs to ¥13,600,000 ($87,300) for the V8-powered RC F Final Edition.

In the US market, the 2025 Lexus RC lineup will reach dealers in the first quarter of the year.

The RC F Final Edition is the only option for the V8-powered model, crowning the lineup of the two-door coupe. Pricing for the US-spec trims can be found on the following table:

What’s Next?

As of now, Lexus is keeping quiet about a potential successor to the RC. However, reports from Japan suggest that a new two-door 2+2 coupe might already be in development. This mysterious new model could potentially replace both the RC and the more luxurious LC coupe. According to the rumors, the naturally aspirated V8 will be dropped, giving way to a more efficient hybrid V6.
