- The out-of-control Mercedes slammed into a building after speeding through an intersection.
- It’s unclear why the owner missed their turn and if they had a medical emergency.
- Unsurprisingly, the high-speed impact looks to have destroyed the E-Class’s front end.
Driving in the snow demands extra caution, no matter how capable your car or how confident you think you are behind the wheel. The driver of this Mercedes-Benz E-Class in Atlanta, Georgia, might want to consider signing up for a winter driving course. Judging by what happens in this video, careful driving wasn’t exactly a priority.
This dramatic crash was caught on camera earlier in the week. It looks to have been filmed outside a storefront in Atlanta and shows the silver E-Class blasting through a T-intersection at high speed. Fortunately, there weren’t any pedestrians nearby at the time of the collision because if there had been, things could have been much worse.

As the E-Class enters the frame, it quickly plows across the intersection and knocks down a steel barricade. Moments later, it spears into the side of a building. Given the car’s front fascia is only visible momentarily, it’s hard to say precisely what version of E-Class it is. However, it looks suspiciously like an AMG-branded version.
The impact with the building looks to have shattered an entryway, broken glass, and caused a large section of brick to break off completely.
While driver error seems like the most likely cause of the crash, it’s also entirely possible they suffered some kind of medical episode while behind the wheel. There also don’t appear to be any signs of the driver hitting the brakes before colliding with the building.
It’s not only fortunate that there were no pedestrians in the path of the Mercedes as a black sedan parked outside also narrowly avoided being rear-ended by the out-of-control Mercedes. There’s no word on whether the driver and any other occupants of the car were injured in the crash. It’s also unclear if anyone inside the building was injured. Whatever the case may be, the driver could be left with a hefty insurance bill.
