Lexus has used a World Surf League event to introduce the new Surf LX concept. It’s billed as a one of a kind SUV that “seamlessly combines innovation and performance for the ultimate coastal lifestyle.”
Designed for a life at the beach, the concept has a coastal-inspired exterior with a matte blue body and a contrasting white roof. They’re joined by black accents, a custom exo-cage, and an illuminated rear ladder that provides easy access to the roof rack. The model also rides on custom 20-inch wheels that are wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires.

Moving inside, there’s tan leather seats as well as all the typical luxury features you’d expect to find in a range-topping SUV. While that’s to be expected, the cargo area has been transformed into a surfer’s paradise.
As part of the makeover, the model has been outfitted with a slide-out floor, storage drawers, and a surfboard rack. They’re joined by a waxing table, a turf changing mat, and a Dometic cooler.
Lexus didn’t mention performance specifications, but the 2025 LX starts at $106,850 and comes standard with a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 that produces 409 hp (301 kW / 415 PS) and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel drive system.
While the concept looks like a SEMA leftover, it celebrates an expanded multi-year partnership between Lexus and the World Surf League (WSL). Under the terms of the deal, Lexus will serve as a title partner for a number of events this year including the WSL Awards, Pipe Pro, Trestle Pro, US Open of Surfing, and WSL Finals.
Lexus’ Lisa McQueen remarked, “Lexus and the WSL are united by a shared drive for innovation, excellence, and performance. This expanded partnership will allow us to elevate the fan experience to new heights, creating amazing moments for the surf community.”
