• Dodge just kicked off its lease deals for February and in some corners of the USA, the new Charger Daytona is just $299 a month.
  • At the same time, most places across the nation will pay hundreds more but have the benefit of a lower down payment.
  • These deals are exclusive to the 2024 model year of the Charger and lend a bit of weight to previous rumors we’ve heard.

Dodge has been rolling out the new Charger Daytona to dealerships for a few weeks now, eager to see how the market responds to its first ever fully electric model. So far, it looks like dealers are already slashing prices, with some knocking tens of thousands off MSRP just to move these cars. And now, Dodge itself is stepping in with some surprisingly aggressive lease deals.

The company just introduced a new leasing offer that starts as low as $299 per month, as Stellantis confirmed to Carscoops. That price applies to the base 496 hp Charger Daytona R/T AWD on a 24-month lease with $4,579 down, based on an MSRP of $59,595, though mileage is capped at a modest 7,500 miles per year. When you crunch the numbers, the effective cost comes out to $500 per month before taxes and delivery fees.

Off the top, we should be clear. While this deal technically went into effect on February 4, it’s not exactly easy to find on dealership websites right now. In most areas across the US, Charger Daytona leases are hovering around $550 or more per month with varying down payments, usually under $4,500. Still, there are a few spots like in the middle of Connecticut where one can snag a Charger R/T for $299 a month with $4,579 down. Notably, this is an “ultra low-mileage” lease of just 7,500 miles per year.

For comparison, back in December, Dodge was offering an R/T lease at $549 per month for 36 months with 10,000 miles per year and $4,999 due at signing, which worked out to an effective $688 per month before taxes and fees. So, this new deal is definitely a step in the right direction, if you can find it.

What About The Scat pack?

If you’re eyeing more power, the Charger Scat Pack with its 670 hp (679 PS / 500 kW) powertrain is $399 a month with $4,429 down at signing, based on an MSRP of $73,985. That comes out to an effective cost of $584 a month before taxes and fees. Sure, that down payment isn’t exactly chump change but picking up this kind of car without having to worry about long-term reliability, value, or other factors might make this deal sweet enough to at least try the Charger. Keep in mind, these deals are only available on the 2024 model year.

As with the R/T lease, expect to do some legwork. Our editor-in-chief found a Daytona Scat Pack listed at $79,690 MSRP from McGovern CJD in Acton, MA, and despite the same $4,429 down, the lease shot up to an absurd $1,532 per month for 24 months/7,500 miles! Yeah, good luck leasing that one.

Stellantis Employee Special Leases?

If all of this reminds you of a recent rumor we heard then you’re not alone. A few days ago, an alleged Dodge manager leaked online that employees would soon have access to special lease deals on the Charger Daytona as cheap as $268 a month with $2,000 down.

That’s a screaming deal on a car that costs around $70,000. What’s really wild is that the same person claimed that employees would have the chance to lease the Jeep Wagoneer S for just $129 a month with $2,000 down.

However, there’s no concrete evidence of this just yet. That said, Dodge does publicly advertise lease deals for Stellantis employees, and according to their site, those living in Detroit can currently lease a 2024 Charger R/T for $479 per month with $3,713 down. If this is how 2024 is kicking off, it wouldn’t be shocking to see even steeper discounts if Charger sales don’t gain traction.
