- DS Automobiles has revealed pricing for the No8 lineup in the French market.
- Starting at €59,200 ($61,300), the French flagship EV is pricier than the BMW i4 Gran Coupe.
- The DS No8 remains cheaper compared to the DS9 in its most expensive trim.
DS Automobiles has officially launched the new No8, with first deliveries scheduled for the second half of 2025. Positioned as the brand’s new flagship, this tech-heavy electric fastback with a crossover twist arrives with plenty of ambition, but interestingly, not the highest price tag in the DS lineup.
In France, pricing for the DS No8 starts at €59,200 (equal to $61,300 at current exchange rates) for the base Pallas FWD and climbs to €74,600 ($77,300) for the top-spec Etoile AWD Long Range. The latter is the only variant equipped with a dual-motor powertrain, delivering 370 hp (276 kW / 375 PS) and paired exclusively with a larger 97.2 kWh battery, which provides an impressive 686 km (426 miles) of WLTP range.

Interestingly, DS has positioned the No8 against some serious competition, even calling out Audi and BMW in its official presentation. Yet, its starting price is noticeably higher than the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron (€46,990 / $48,700) and the BMW i4 Gran Coupe (€57,600 / $59,700). Move up to the fully loaded trim, and it’s going head-to-head with larger, more established premium EVs, including the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron (€66,420 / $68,800), Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan (€70,050 / $72,600), and BMW i5 (€76,250 / $79,000).
Surprisingly, Not the Priciest DS
Compared to its stablemates, the flagship trim of the electric fastback is priced lower than the DS7 Performance PHEV SUV, starting at €75,800 ($78,600), and the DS9 Opera E-Tense 4×4 PHEV sedan, which is available from stock for up to €89,250 ($95,500).
Naturally, we had to see just how high the No8’s price could climb when fully optioned, so we dove into the official configurator.

The exterior of our top-spec DS No8 Etoile is finished in Crystal Pearl (€1,000), paired with a black roof (€400) and 21-inch Cassiopeia alloy wheels (€1,100). The illuminated grille and DS Pixel Vision headlights come standard with the Etoile trim.
For the interior, we opted for Chestnut Brown Nappa Leather upholstery (€2,350), the laminated panoramic roof (€800), and both the Absolute Comfort Pack (€2,500) and Absolute Tech Pack (€1,350), which add features like the DS Night Vision system. Finally, we selected the 22kW three-phase onboard charger (€900) and the tool-free removable tow bar (€990).

Adding it all up, a fully-loaded DS No8 comes to €85,990 ($89,100). This is a staggering amount for an EV coming from a young brand like DS, but remains cheaper than a DS9 Opera sedan. However, the DS9 is now only available from existing stock, as its production has officially ended.
DS has recently outlined its long-term goal of going “beyond premium,” aiming to break into the upper echelons of the luxury segment. This suggests we’ll likely see even pricier models from the Stellantis brand in the future, possibly including special editions of the DS No8.
