• This McLaren P1 has been sitting in a Middle East collection for the past decade.
  • The hypercar from Woking shows only 130 km on the odometer.

The new McLaren W1 is the company’s latest and greatest road car and will be capped at just 399 examples worldwide. The jury is still out if it will be held in as high regard as its predecessor, the McLaren P1. After all, whereas the P1 was at the cutting edge of hypercar performance at its launch in 2013, the W1 is no match for the new era of electric performance machines.

We’ve seen special customer P1s in the past, including some with exposed carbon fiber bodies and striking paint schemes. A handful were also finished in matte paint colors, and this P1 was built for a collector in Qatar as the only one in Satin Camo Green.

RM Sotheby’s is now offering the special hypercar, noting that it has remained with the original owner and has just 130 km (80 miles) on the odometer. In addition to being one of the lowest-mileage P1s on earth, the exterior finish also makes it one of the most striking. Contrasting the green are several details in McLaren Orange, including the badges, brake calipers, center caps, and P1 emblems.

These McLaren Orange accents continue into the cabin and on the seats, steering wheel, and dashboard. It also includes matching orange switches and plenty of exposed carbon fiber.

The striking P1 remained on static display in the owner’s collection since delivery. There’s no word on any service history during this period and what kind of condition the twin-turbo V8 and battery pack are in.

RM Sotheby’s expects this P1 to sell for between $1 million and $1.5 million. Unlike the Ferrari LaFerrari, prices of the P1 haven’t soared over the years, and considering all the special touches made to this one, it’s entirely possible it cost the owner more than $1.5 million.
