• Subaru adds new Levorg V-Sport and STI Sport R-Black models to its Japan lineup.
  • The Crosstrek Sub Blaze Edition sports a fiery Sun Blaze Pearl color and dark accents.

For many years, Subaru has been selling special edition models in its home market of Japan.. Earlier this week, the brand launched several new special edition models in Japan, including two for the Levorg, a new Impreza, and a special Crosstrek.

Starting with the Levorg, Subaru is now adding the V-Sport and STI Sport R-Black Limited models to the lineup. Neither offers a performance upgrade over the 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder Levorg that is already on sale.

The V-Sport benefits from several blacked-out components that make it look a little meaner than a standard Levorg. Black badges, black wing mirrors, a black roof antenna, and black headlight bezels are all part of the deal. The special touches also include ultra suede on the seats, red stitching, and a genuine leather steering wheel.

Subaru’s new Levorg STI Sport R-Black Limited features many of the same black touches but is based on the more powerful STI Sport version, with 271 hp (202 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. Prices for the V-Sport start at 3,350,000 yen (~$22,500), while the STI Sport R-Black Limited is available from 4,260,000 yen (~$28,700).
