The AMG-powered S63 Cabrio is one of the world’s most luxurious and at the same time, most powerful drop tops. With Brabus’ help though, both its style and its performance games are on a whole different level.
Before we get into the gist of it, we need to point out that this is the older S63, before it ditched its 5.5-liter V8 in favor of AMG’s newer twin-turbo 4.0-liter unit. So originally, this car had 585 PS (577 HP) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque.
Now though, thanks to its Brabus B63-650 performance kit, it’s rocking 650 PS (641 HP) and a full 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. Letting it stretch its legs would mean hitting a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).
Responsible for the noise it makes is the tuner’s valve-controlled sports exhaust system, which you can only order in combination with Brabus’ carbon fiber rear diffuser – clearly visible on this 650 Cabriolet.
Other enhancements include the Sports suspension, 21-inch Platinum Edition Monoblock Y wheels, custom front lip, rear bumper add-ons, rear spoiler, plus multiple emblems and logos. To count them all, there six total Brabus markings on this car, three at the front, three at the rear. Meanwhile, inside you can get custom shift paddles, illuminated door sills, custom lock pins and aluminum pedal pads.
The video ends with two drag races. One against a Porsche 911, the other against a VW Scirocco. Let’s just say that one opponent proved easier to defeat than the other.
