With midsize premium saloons being so excellent nowadays, it almost doesn’t matter which badge you opt for, since they are all extremely good products.
But if you demand the very best from your daily means of transportation, then always opting for the brand new model should work perfectly as a strategy, meaning that something like the all-new 2019 Audi A6 should definitely be taken into consideration.
This is the very first official review of the new A6, and Steve Sutcliffe seemed to be impressed with it as soon as he laid eyes on it. He starts his review by applauding Audi for a job well done with regards to the car’s exterior and interior appearance. At one point, he even calls this the best-looking non-RS model Audi has ever built, which is high praise indeed.
The version he got to drive was the 50 TDI Quattro model, with 286 PS (282 HP) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque, which is able to rocket to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.5 seconds with the help of an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox and all-wheel drive.
Moving on, the reviewer kept dropping compliments left and right about the ride quality, performance and overall feel. He does, however, point out that while the A6’s steering feel isn’t bad, it’s not quite on the same level as what you get in the BMW 5-Series – which in a way was to be expected.
Overall, it would seem Audi really hit it out of the park with their all-new A6. Would you buy one over an E-Class or 5-Series though?
