For an affordable SUV, the Dacia Duster is fairly potent off the beaten path. Proof stand the countless videos shared over the years by enthusiastic owners who took them off-roading.
However, with the right know-how (and cash), the Duster can be turned into a different kind of animal, one that won’t get a flat tire in this case, because, well, it doesn’t actually have any wheels, but rubber tracks instead.
Presented at the Black Sea Defense & Aerospace event in Bucharest, Romania, last week, the tracked machine gathered lots of curious people. Some of them were happy just to take a closer look at it, whereas others chose to film it and share it with the internet.

According to the description of the video that follows, the tracks were made by ACF Track in Brasov, Romania and they cost €11,000 (equal to $12,944), without tax. This means that with the new parts installed, the cost of your Dacia Duster will almost double, and in theory, will also allow you to take your new SUV without being afraid that it will get stuck in the mud.
Getting there, however, is probably the most difficult part, as even if the legislation allows it for a tracked vehicle to be driven on public roads, we reckon that it’s not the most comfortable experience you’ve had behind the wheel. Nor the fastest, for that matter.
